General Conditions for Barn Hire
The Dog Training Barn Users Agreement
To maintain the highest standards of welfare and animal care we ask all users of The Dog Training Barn to read and abide by our ethos. By booking The Dog Training Barn, you are also agreeing to abide by our ethos and the minimal standards as provided below. While using this venue you will be responsible for ensuring that your clients / customers adhere to the terms of the Agreement as well.
Our ethos: To promote animal training that is based in science and adheres to ethical standards that promote positive animal welfare.
Our users agree:
a. To ensure that all animals are managed in accordance with the standards provided by the Animal Welfare Act 2006. (Visit: https://www.rspca.org.uk/whatwedo/endcruelty/changingthelaw/whatwechanged/animalwelfareact for more information)
b. The selection and use of any training methods and protocols must adhere to the “Least intrusive and most positive” philosophy. (Visit: http://www.behaviorworks.org/files/articles for more information.)
c. No training tools or methods which cause pain or rely on fear and intimidation may be used while training at The Dog Training Barn.
You must be aged 18 or over to make a booking.
To use the agility equipment you need to be competing at Kennel Club agility shows or attend an introduction session or private lesson here.

Bookings

Please pay the full amount when you book
For hourly hire - All bookings need to be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance. All bookings to be paid in full at the time of booking.
Payments are non refundable but dates are transferable to other free times with one months notice
For whole or half day event hire of the barn:
All deposits transferrable to an alternative date if 1 month's notice is given. The balance is to be paid one month before hire date and is again, non refundable..
All dogs to be on leads except when working or in the exercise field or paddock. Please pick up after your dogs. Bins are provided.
Dogs must not be allowed to toilet in the barn, please ensure they have time to toilet outside beforehand. Any accidents must be sprayed with urine-off and a £2 left in the pot.
Breakages or other damage will need to be paid for; please report all breakages straightaway.
Please ensure your booking finishes on time, the toilets and car park are left clean & tidy.
You are responsible to ensuring there is no cause for complaints about noise or misuse of our neighbour's (Tube & Bracket Ltd) driveway and car park ( no exercising or toileting of dogs there as per the signs)
Please make sure you switch off the lights and the kettle and close all the doors, unless the next user is present.

Locking Up
By arrangement, we may ask you to lock up the barn and exit gates out of hours. To do this:
1. Make sure both firedoors are shut - close them gently whilst pressing the safety bar down.
2. Turn off the kettle, lights and any other electrical equipment.
3. Lock main doors with padlock.
4. Lock gate as you exit the car park.

Dog Barn Rules
Please read - These apply to everyone using The Barn.
The floor is waterproof. Waterbowls to be tipped down the sink not on the floor please.
Do not let your dogs off lead unless they are working and watched. They MUST NOT toilet in The Barn.
If any puppies have an accident please use the urine-off and leave £2 in the pot.
Please replace everything after use - equipment, crates, water bowls and chairs.
Dogs are only allowed off lead in the gated paddock or when working in the barn, everywhere else please keep them on leads.
No smoking of any device in The Barn or School
Inform us straight away of any breakages.
